Has anybody used that spray paint that I've seen in stores that's supposed to be "perfect" for outdoor plastic chairs/furniture?

I have! I used it on a couple of garage sale kids chairs and table. I even used a circle template with another color for a polka dot look. The kids at church loved it.
Oops.. I posted before I was finished. I did wash them well with a degreasing dishwashing soap, then went over it with a fine grade sand paper very very lightly. Rinsed it down again and let it sun dry before I painted it.

Thanks D! How long has it been since you painted them? Are they holding up okay?

Thanks for asking that question and answering, Cherylad and DD... I've got several pairs of chairs and a table that I'd like to freshen up. What was the brand you used DD? Do you mind saying?

I don't know if it's exactly the spray paint you're talking about, My parents have used something similar to revive their patio furniture here in the pacific NW. My mom's a neat freak and likes to sand it and re-paint every 4-5 years, they look new all the time. So I can vouch for it's ability to stand up to moisture and not mold

YUP! Krylon is what I used! I used a store brand first (walmart maybe, I can't recall) but it wasn't adhering even while wet... so I wipe the chair down and started over. They were still going strong the last time I went by the toddlers fenced in area.
