I really don't know why, but somehow the color yellow - A cheerful yellow that is, (not a sick and dull shade) - Has a very uplifting effect on me. Specially when it's against a blue sky background.

Does this happen with anyone else over here too?

    Nice pix Philip.

S-H I think daffodils are a cheery flower as it is one of the first large flowers to announce spring.

I love to see the first daffodils appearing in the gardens. They always manage to cheer me up even on a wet and windy day.

I hope you manage to get your friend in on your next visit Philip and can get some more photographs for us.

I agree wholeheartedly about Daffodils being a cheerful flower not only do they look cheerful but they bring cheer,.. being a flower appearing after a long winter and announcing the beginning of spring
Well my friend still was not at home on my calling twice,..however these first pictures are of the road he lives on,..right up to his house,..and some pictures of his flowers i took last year.

What beautiful photos. Daffs always bring a smile to my face, especially as it convinces me spring is here.

Your friend lives in a beautiful place. That tree full of blossom over the stream is so pretty, almost like a giant bonsai, if you know what I mean. :)

So much colour, how very cheerful.

What a beautiful area your friend lives in Philip. His garden is a sheer delight and he must be very proud of it. I envy him his conservatory as it's something I've always longed to have.

    Hi EJ,
i agree with you about those trees,..it was Bonsai came to my mind because of the shape of them

    Eileen,
he is in a beautiful spot,..nothing between him and the river but Blackthorn Bushes,..and Sloe Bushes,..his garden never changes shape as he decided on how it is years ago,..and i really like being there.

    Cherylad,
he must be off visiting his daughter in the next County,..i could go into his garden and take pictures,..but it would be cheeky him not being there,..but when he comes back i will capture more colour.
