is there any way to rotate a photos orientation? If I take a picture vertically, all of the photos on the site are horizontally oriented, is there somewhere to rotate the photo when uploading?

Rotating the photo needs to be done before they are uploaded to GardenStew. Do you have a program where you color correct, resize, crop, etc. your photos after putting them on your computer? GIMP is a freeby if you don't and is easy to learn and there are many others available online.

We use PhotoFiltre, which is also free, and has the advantage of being so easy to use that even I can manage it. It sizes photos (handy to meet the 2200 requirement) and moves them around, also.

I made a map on my desktop Tiny Pic
download the free program Tiny Pic
resize to the map Tiny Pic

afterwards you right click on the small picture
    open with Microsoft photo editor
take on the top pictures , turn right or left
    and save

    ready
all your small pictures in one map
    (with the good plant-name)

Any photos can be easily rotated by right mouse button clicking on the photo in Windows (any version). A drop down menu will appear and two of the several choices will be: rotate clockwise and rotate counterclockwise. You can turn them as much as you want with this method.

This is also an easy way to copy, paste, etc. Always check out the right mouse button clicks. Lots of short cuts here.

Thanks jewell, but I don't use windows. My son downloaded something called ubuntu and i actually liked much better once I got used to it, but maybe I will have to go back to the windows server to do this. I'm not sure.

Carolyn, I have Linux too (ubuntu) after a friend of my daughter's went to some places on my computer that she shouldn't have and something ate my Windows Start-Up file  I don't even have Windows on my computer anymore.

Do a google search for GIMP, it's pretty much like PhotoShop but free. Easy to learn too and if you have questions just PM me.

That is excellent. Thanks Toni. i appreciate that info. It took me a little to get used to, but I like it for its simplicity.
