Protecting Container Water Gardens from "Wild" Lif I recently set up my water lilies in a 100 gallon galvanized stock tank. There's a few Comet Goldfish in there too. Plus there's another container that's probably around 25 gallons that also houses water plants and gold fish. Lately... I've been noticing some "wild" life hanging around and decided it was time to let them know the rules. Yes... we have raccoons, possums, armadillos, foxes... but none as dangerous as a duck with a fishing pole!
Thanks everyone! Glad you got a chuckle out of it. :-D When I got the tank, they had a BIG label glued to it. I've been scrubbing and scrubbing with GooGone... and the glue is being very stubborn. So instead of wasting my time and energy trying to get glue off... why not just glue something else over it!? And I just had to have something cute, didn't I?
I love it. Do ducks read and understand English? I could provide the Romanian version. Would that help? LOL I had (a) frog(s) in my waterlily container... relocated it. Now gone. I hope!
Very funny Cheryl,..and a great idea to cover that over the offending glue traces from the sticker,..i recently had the same problem with my new tall flower pot,..they had a sticker on it showing 20% off,..but would the glue come off along with the sticker,..but NO,..some job cleaning it off, with (Petrol/Gasoline).
Calin... If I spot a Romanian duck... I'll definitely ask for you to translate for me. :-D Philip... Why do they use such good glue on something they know will have to come off?? I tried lighter fluid. Alcohol. Not even the GooGone is working. Didn't think about gasoline. There's still some glue left. Might have to give it a try. Thanks Daisy... well need a good chuckle now and then.
