Yep... we were blessed with 2.5 inches of rain today here at the house!
I think it may have rained more at my office. Maybe I need to get a rain gauge set up there just to compare?
Sorry if no one else got needed rain today... I really would share if I could!

Ummmmm, I heard a city nearby us, thankfully not us, had 7" (yes, seven inches) of rain early this morning. We had a nice amount, but I don't have a rain gauge up. Everything was wet this morning and stayed wet all day, so I'm guessing at least an inch.

It rained at my office from 9am to around 3pm. Pretty steady all day... heavy at times. All I could think was "Please be raining at my house too!"
The 2.5 inches is the most rain we've had in one day all year. Sure felt good not having to drag the water hose around.

It's nice to hear that finally people are getting some significant rain. Seven inches at one time is a bit much.

Cheryl, yes Ura Hogg when it comes to rain. We are still high and dry. But your area does need it a lot more than we do so I am glad you did get that much.

    Still dry here too.... :(
    Today it's a holiday here (not day-off-holiday)
"Sfantul Ilie" in romanian, saint Eliyah (Eliiah).
In our orthodox religion, the saint is supposed to bring rains, storms, etc.
    We'll see about that!
So far... just sun and some scattered clouds.

All we seem to get is cloudy skies and thunder, no rain. It did rain one day but not enough to wet the deck fully. Just spots. Our truck is spotted too. Guess we could stop at the car wash and give it a wash. Then, it might rain.
I'm still watering things most days. Day one, front yard, day two back yard and garden.

Well Cheryl, it's good to know that someplace in Texas got wet!
Cal, do you think St. Elijah knows where Texas is? If so, I'll light a candle to him if he'll send us some rain.

There was a light rain this morning when I left home. But didn't look like it would last very long. The forecast is dry for the next several days. Maybe the rain will decide to help out some others?

At least the Atlantic is starting to make tropical depressions and possible storms, maybe everyone will get some relief soon.

I never heard that about Elijah bringing storms and rain, but hmmm... he did when Israel had a 3 year drought and he prayed to God to bring rain. I hadn't thought of that one.

Cheryl, glad you got some much needed rain today. Perhaps that is a sign of good things to come for people. :stew1:
