I have white calla lilys, pink ones, dark purple ones, orange ones and one very large yellow hybrid ones..

Has anyone else who has grown them ever have one with the flower head almost 5 inches long? I bought the yellow, pink and orange ones from Lowe's a couple years ago...the dark one I bought from a flower or gardening store.

Very pretty, I love the dark purple one. I have a yellow one with a red edge that gets about 4". I get lots of leaves but not many flowers on mine. I have white, pink, yellow and mauve.

Sherry... I'm totally jealous! Such beauties.
I've been struggling with one I got from my aunt. I may just give up on it and buy a couple. That "black" one is awesome.

I always plant mine in containers so I don't have to dig them up in the fall...my favorite is the black or purplish ones too.

I've had no luck whatsoever in growing Callas. :( Even planting them in pots and overwintering them in indoors hasn't helped. I would love to have some as gorgeous as yours in my garden but will content myself with looking at yours instead. :stew2:

Sherry8 those are some stunning callas. I never thought of growing them or canas in a pot so you can winter them over and not have to dig them. I am a lazy gardener and hate to plant anything I have to dug up in the fall. :-o I'll try that next year.

Great idea to plant them in pots. I have "HUGE" white calla lilies that self sowed from seed, but have had total failures with the colored varieties. Yours are magnificent! I am inspired. :stew1:
