Thanks Calin, it has been very hot here but we have had some drenching thunderstorms to keep the garden colorful & green.

Your gardens are so FULL of life and color. Do you have to do much to keep them like this, or are they pretty much self-sufficient?

Gail your garden is one anybody would be proud to say was theirs. So much colour and lush foliage that's it's hard to believe it's so hot where you are. Thank goodness those thunderstorms helped to keep everything watered.

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed the tour.
Cheryl...I have a mix of annuals, perennials and re-seeding volunteers. I probably average about an hour and a half a day, once everthing is planted. Most days it takes me 45 minutes to water, when we don't get rain. Carolyn, I try to plant things that attract butterflies, birds & bees.

gfreiherr-A big Wow from me also. I would love to have a garden with half that color. I like to plant things that are pretty self sufficient and like you that attract birds and butterflies. But I sure do not have all that color going on. Thanks for the breath of fresh flower color. :stew1:

Wow Gail, your gardens look fantastic! Mine are all shriveling up from the heat and lack of rain. Zinnia's are my favorite cutting flower too :)

Gail--your gardens are beautiful. I love your design sense. In the third photo, the garden is layered really well--lots to look at, a lot of depth. I also like the edging. I wish you could come & help me with mine!

Oh my Gail your pictures are a treat to look at today. So colorful and healthy.
I planted up a container with Angelonia, Lantana and Persian Shield this spring. It's such a pretty combination. But the Persian Sheild didn't make it through the last gasp of 100° temps :'( I was quite surprised, as it usually holds up well in our hot weather here. I replaced it with a Carex that adds another texture. :stew1:

Wow, what beauty!! I would never stay inside if I had gardens like those to wander through or sit in an out of the way corner and read.
