    Common name: African Violet
    Latin name: Saintpaulia
    Family: Gesneriaceae
    Genus: Saintpaulia

Popular houseplant native to Tanzania and southeast Kenya. Easy to maintain and blooms all year round. Bloom colours include pink, red, white and violet. Very susceptible to overwatering so be careful with watering frequency.

Sunlight requirements: Sun / some shade. Try to avoid direct sunlight which can cause blemishes. Not enough light can cause lack of flowering.
Watering requirements: Keep soil moist at all times. Do not overwater.
    Humidity: High
    Soil: Well drained
    Propagation: Leaf cuttings, seed

    Other common names: Saintpaulia

    WOW!

Beautiful pics. I have a few African violets myself.
My favorite are the blue and pink.

    Nice photos...

I have a small collection of them, and always have room for more.

    Love it .
