2013 flower baseline database, calling all flowers

This is a trial run of the 2013 flower baseline database. The database is open for your flower entries. This is the first year so there has to be bugs, however, hopefully we do not have to use any bug spray.

The requirements are few, so entries should be easy.

Entry info: Flower: _____________ date of flower:______________ zone:_____________

1. flowers should be established perennials, i.e. this should not be the flower's first year blooming.

2. The flower should be an identified species and variety or cultivar otherwise it gets an asterisk* next to it.

3. The zone should be stated, State or county or Country would be nice.

4. Yes, even entries from the other side of the Equator! It's a trial run! The baseline should still work.

As this is the first year questions and comments are welcome and encouraged.

Do we just post the information in this thread throughout the year?

 

It's a good a place as any, unless our moderators/ admins can think of something else. Entries will be put into a spreadsheet. I can post the spreadsheet as a jpg(maybe, something to try) I don't think the form will accommodate another format. As a trial run the bugs can be 'ironed out'. The data however, is always valid.

Three cheers!!! Frank has made us an on-line flower baseline database spreadsheet. I will enter data from members that contribute. It's easy. All we need is the name of the established perennial, the 2013 date it first bloomed and your hardness zone. The rest of the info gets filled in semi-automatically..... O.K. as fast as my fingers can type.
