I'm looking to buy some hanging baskets, and if I buy single by single, I'll be paying LOTS of money, considering I'll be paying 1.50-2.00 per hanging basket, I need alot, ready for this? I need about 3,000 hanging baskets.... Just wondering where I could buy a skid of hanging baskets. Thanks!
Jordan, I don't know how you do business in Canada, but you need to start by contacting a wholesale supplier of greenhouse products (google: wholesale hanging basket suppliers/greenhouse supplies). We have Dillen Products, inc. Landmark Plastic corp. T.O. plastics, to name a few available to us here in the US. These are containers/baskets/plastics vendors only, I don't know if they sell directly or through a middleman ( I buy them from a middleman since I need so few of them). Do you have to have a vendors license (or permission from the gov't) to do business (mostly in order to collect and pay taxes)? Depending on how you classify your business here it depends on whether you need a vendors license or not (considered agricultural/horticultural/floricultural or not). Of course, none of this may apply to you since you are in another country.
Do you have a big commercial nursery in your area (not a retail greenhouse)? We have a big one here that supplies Walmart. I'd call a place like that and ask if they could sell you 3,000 baskets.
Gardener's Supply has reasonably priced hanging baskets, and is a wholesaler. http://www.gardeners.com They might be able to ship them to you fairly inexpensively.
