    Good Grief. This is way too many great pix to choose from. I have to go with the one that unbeknownst to the photographer is sitting on my desktop right now. 8)

    Bethie I actually stood on a bridge that looks over the River Almond and took the photograph with just my digital camera but on full zoom (6x magnification.) More luck than anything else as I was actually taking piccies of the trees coming into leaf!!! I must have shot off at least 30 photographs of the kingfisher but only that one was good enough to keep. We have a pair of these lovely little birds nesting in the river bank but they are sooo quick that's it's hard to capture them on film.
