Yesterday late afternoon, some good friends here on the lake called and asked if we wanted to go fro a boat ride. It had been a wonderful day 70s, a little windy, Deep blue sky, and the fall colors are predominant. The wind had stopped completely, and the lake was calm. I was sitting out on the deck, just taking in beauty of the day when they called. And since our boat was put away for the winter, we quickly accepted. I grabbed the camera and my drink, and we set out. It was a memorably ride, with the good company and the scenery. The sun was setting, and it produced some great views. I was able to get several nice photos. I would like to share them with you.

Ahhhh Tom your photographs are a sheer delight. It must have been a fantastic boat trip with all those autumn colours.

Would you mind if I pinched the three sunset shots to add to my sunset/sunrise collection?

Go for it Eileen. Not too often that we get such good color with no clouds. If you look closely you'll see a jet airplane vapor trail on 2 of them.

Such wonderful colors this time of year. The combination of that, the lake, and the sunset, makes for a wonderful photo op. And you captured it beautifully. Well done!

Wow Tom such beautiful lake scenery and such great friends to take you on boat rides too. I can just imagine meandering down the still river, the quiet rustling of leaves and the sounds of birds overhead, ahhhhhhh :)

Thanks for taking us along with you!
