My morning glories are sprouting! At least I think they are morning glories. I'm so bad! I planted them and Asian peppers but forgot to mark which was which.

In a couple of days when the leaves have attained an identifiable shape we should be able to tell you. I have all sorts of things in pots and in the ground that I just knew I would remember what was what....I have spent most of the last month wandering the gardens looking at sprouts and wondering .... "what is that and did I plant it on purpose" ;)

I'm not sure where I'm going to plant them. Will they grow up the side of a house?

Morning Glories vine will twist around each other, other vines and twine to climb but they do not have anyway to attach themselves to walls. You could start out with a trellis on the side of the wall and they will grow up that.

    morning glory seedlings

Here are mine, they are leaning because I had them in the window and they were leaning towards the light, but as you can see, there are 7 sprouted, like I said, I don't know how many I planted, but there are no more coming up so I think that is it.

The first picture is the morning glories and the second is the moonflower seedlings, going to try to have the moonflower bloom indoors, I know the morning glories will because I have had them bloom inside before.

Nice!! I don't have enough light in my house to have very many plants inside...which bums me out. I replanted the morning glories into a hanging planter that had a dead plant in it. I dumbed that out and put some new good soil in it. I hope they survive. They wouldn't have lasted long in the thing I had them in because these suckers grow FAST!

My Asian peppers are now sprouting too!!!!

AND the seeds I planted actually in my garden are sprouting. Yay! Sooooo excited!

I have been here at the north end of the lake for about 5 or 6 years, it was just for the last couple of years that I thought about growing morning glories indoors. They do bloom for me, I started because I wanted some color in the house during the wintertime.
