After viewing the suggestions, I think the Penstemon 'Firebird' looks like mine ( photo / image / picture from flower1lady2000's Garden )

I am leaning more on the Penstemon side on this plant or a close cousin. The blooms look alike but it doesn't have the leaves that the Fuchsia 'Thalia' has.

Flowerlady, any chance of getting closer photos of the blooms and the leaves?

I agree with Cajunbelle--I think that it is Phygelis. Perhaps the rectus 'Devil's Tears'.

Thank all of you very much. I'm so glad to be finding names for all of my unknowns.
