This post is referring to my post about my chili plant being attack by pest! Thanks for all your help and I work on solving the problem from all of your feed back. I got another plant going and this time I planted it on the ground. I added lots of compost to it and it did so much better until the plant is about 13~16 inches tall. The new growths starts to become wrinkly like as though it was attack by aphids. This time I did a very close examination by taking closed up photos and enlarging it on the computer to have a better look. Nothing was found and no ants too. At that time my sis-in-law came for visit from UK and guess what she got for me? Nutrients for plant! ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden ) I've got Fish, Blood and Bone meal too! Anyway I decided to use the above because the result is more immediate. A few days after feeding the plant, I noticed the new growth starts to look much healthier and this is how it is today. Chili ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden ) This is how the new growth is like. Chili ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden ) So the culprit is lack of nutrient. Looks like this garden earth is still poor and I hope Starbucks coffee ground added compost will help.
So glad you got to the bottom of your problem KK. Your plant certainly seems to be enjoying the extra nutrients it's getting now.
oh good. I was really stumped as it really didn't look like aphids to me. but lack of nutrients is a really hard one to figure out... especially which one.
