I did battle with more weeds, dang those things grow quicker than you would think possible.
I joined two garden areas...the one in front of the bloom house is now joined to the main bed.

This gave me room for the three Patchouli plants.

The Patchouli is where a birdbath has been for a few years, but since I wanted one Fiber Optic Grass plant on each side of the birdbath it had to be moved to a larger area.

On the front side of this picket fence are the Iris and newly planted Lady's Mantle. The back side gets partial sun and will be a perfect home for the Persian Shield.

Dooley mentioned a neighbor who had Spiderwort trailing over the side of a planter and that gave me an idea for the perfect spot for mine. The pot has the Hyacinth bulbs in it too, but they will be moved this fall.

Seems to have been a wonderfully sunny day in Texas today and it shows up the new area quite well. The bed looks like it has been like that all of the time. Good job Toni. I'd love to see a before photo of the area if you have one.

Gotta love that Persian Shield eh.

Oh, I have a tub like that square one. I have a round one too. I will look into putting my spiderwort in one of them. Thanks for the idea. Dooley

Your garden is beautiful Toni. I like your terracotta birdbath...I don't know why I didn't think of that! I may have to put one of those thogether!
