We have not been able to put new pictures on our PB site. DD does it from her computer. PB is saying the ISP connection was refused, which DD says they are saying it is something on our end. We did not have that problem before PB changed things. Any suggestions?
Sharon I'm having problems too with PB. I can put piccies anywhere but into a blog and I have no idea why. :-? Maybe Frank can shed some light on it for us when he pops in.
I haven't changed anything from this end so it may be a PhotoBucket issue. Try having a look on the PhotoBucket forums Sharon to see if anyone if talking about the same thing: http://forums.photobucket.com/ Keep me informed
Just to let you know, I use photobucket and have had no problems at all, and with our tricky internet connection at home at the moment, that is saying something!
Hmm, I haven't noticed any problems with my PB acct. since the changes, either. Hope that whatever is troubling yours can be easily sorted out, Sharon. Are you encountering difficulties uploading into your PB acct? or just posting a photo from it? Eileen, I think I may have noticed the issue you wrote of . While I can insert photos into my original blog post, when I tried to post one of my "special" emoticons (which I keep in my PB acct.) in a blog reply it wouldn't work, I had just assumed that was a feature of how the system is set to work.
All, there are no special restrictions placed on posting Photobucket photos in the forums or in blog entries. Best thing is to possibly PM me image code you are trying to post and I shall have a little look see
DD is having problems uploading the photos to the account, the posting is not giving us a problem. I know nothing about it so I don't fool with it. Guess it is time to learn.
You need to check the format type of the pictures that you are trying to upload. Some cameras don't produce JPG images and you'll have to convert them first. If they are JPG's, are you trying to upload directly from the camera or are you transferring them to the PC first. If you're transferring directly from the camera, it may transfer too slowly for Photobucket to accept. PM me and we can make arrangements for you to send me an image to use as a test.
Sharon, To add to what Evil said try this: Right click on your avatar here and save it to your computer. You should be able to upload this image to PhotoBucket as it is a valid JPEG. At least then you can eliminate the fact that it is the image file format that is giving you problems. What happens when you click the 'Upload' button on PhotoBucket? Does it hang? Does it timeout/cancel? Does PhotoBucket give you an error message? You can always try other image hosting sites if things are still unresolved, like http://www.imageshack.us/
Thanks guys, I will get DD to try these things. I am totally computer illiterate. All I know how to do is get on this thing.
