Happy Monday morning. Already in the mid70s and overcast. They've been saying that it was going to be nothing but rain and so far, no sign of it. So, I'll be tackling the blackberry and strawberry area while I can.
And I have to bring in the seedlings on the back porch because it's supposed to dip down into the upper 30s the next two mornings. Really???

Good chilly morning all. 44 for an overnight temp, maybe into the 50's later today and then tonight down to around 33-34. I have two trays of as of yet unplanted plants to put in the greenhouse today and dig out the plastic bottle cloches to cover up newly planted ones out front.
The rain part of this weather system fizzled out for my yard...again. And very slim chances of any for the rest of the week.

The latest in the year we have gotten a freeze up here is April 13....30deg in 1957 and 31deg in 1997. But I wasn't gardening in those years so I didn't notice. In 1957 I was 11 and in 1997 I was...well let's just say I had two daughters and a grandson by then and leave it at that :D

Good morning! It's another gray, rainy day here today. Drizzle more than rain but a shower thrown in here and there. Only 49 degrees at noon and down into 30's tonight. Maybe I planted my flowers too soon. But, with the strange weather patterns, who knows!

That rain and cold front arrived here about noon. Temps dropped quickly and the winds kicked up. Last time I checked there was 2.5 inches in the gauge. Hopefully we won't reach freezing here, but it will be in the mid to upper 30s. I covered up my newly planted hibiscus and brought in the seedlings that have been sitting on the back porch. The rest of the plants, well, they are on their own.
    :fingerscrossed:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -3°C and snowing. Yes, the ground is white again :( Temperatures are going down to -7°C (19.4°F) tonight, so I'm going to try to 'save' a few things that have sprouted in the garden by putting buckets over them. Odd to think I was outside in a t-shirt for the past few days! It's a baking sort of day today, and maybe I'll make a pot of stew too. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Yippee... no frost on the ground this morning! But another night in the 30s coming up. At least I don't have to worry about watering for the next week or so. :stew2:
With all that rain, I did notice some low spots on my newly expanded bed. I think I'll try building it up a little.

Good morning all. Only got down to around 37 overnight here, everything and no more temps under 40 here until probably next November. :'( I'll leave the new plants and seedlings in the greenhouse until tomorrow though since I won't be able to get them in the ground until then. They, like most humans, like a vacation in warmer climates sometimes.

I have been doing some major clean-out....I think I will tackle the large book shelves I look at every day across the room from my computer. 5 shelves, 8 feet long and they are packed tight with books in disarray, some laying on top of others and various pretties being forced out by more and more books. No I am not getting rid of them, just straightening them up to look better....just in case my hubby reads this and starts panicking. ;)

Good afternoon. Really windy all night and today. Heavy rains for tonight, crossing my fingers that there won't be any snow. Had to bring in all my seedling from the greenhouse as the temps are below freezing. No heat in the greenhouse. They are spread out over the living room floor so we have to step over plants. Better to remember to turn a light on if up in the night!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -7°C and sunny. Yesterday's snow hasn't melted yet, but should be gone by tomorrow. I hope my Daffodils will be OK, they were just budding up! Not sure what to do today, need to have another coffee before I decide. Have a great day all :)

    Good Morning All.

It seems nothing really to talk about here to interest anyone till I see snow gone. Some Spring.

You all have a nice day.

Happy Wednesday morning. Didn't get quite as cold overnight as the previous one... 42F when I left home this morning and it should reach the mid 70s this afternoon. Beautiful clear blue skies. Think I'll stop by the store on the way home and pick up some garden soil to get the area prepped for the cantaloupes I want to plant this weekend. And check out the mark-down rack too, of course. :stew2:

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -2°C and sunny. There is a very cold SE wind today. My buds seem to have survived the cold snap we had (Phew!) Off to do my errands and shopping, and hopefully get a load of soil. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Back to "normal" temps around here. Mid 50s overnight and warming to the mid to upper 70s. There's also a 30% chance of rain today. I guess a little shower wouldn't hurt, but no big rains please... I'm afraid some stuff is going to drown. :-?

Good morning all. Chilly and becoming overcast this morning. Slight chance of rain this afternoon or tonight but a better chance for Sunday and Monday....not that I am expecting any of that to happen on my garden, not with the way Mother Nature apparently feels about me for some reason.

We are going away this weekend, there is as Spring version of the 37 mile long garage sale so we are going. Two years ago we went to the Sept version, hot and miserable. This weekend should be perfect weather for wandering around looking at other's junque.
