The spirit of winter, ice queen, snow goddess all got together and gave me a really good and very welcome surprise this morning. 3inches/7.6cm on the ground now and two more waves of moderately heavy snow heading our way thru the day should bring us up to almost 6inches/15cm. What lovely fotos, Toni. It looks so nice there, tryly a winter-wonderland. Don't take this the wrong way--but I am profoundly glad that it is there and not here though. hee hee hee It loks so different in the snow than in the summer, doesn't it.
I really love that last photograph Toni - it's beautiful. :-D I'm glad all our snow has, at last, melted away. However, they say that once the temperatures rise a bit (it's -6° celsius at the moment) we could be in for more. :-?
Gosh, toni, how I envy you your pretty snow blanket! I've waded through thigh-high snow today in order to fix paddocks and my stomach actually wrenched when it started snowing again this morning.
Bunkie, that is an old screen door I talked my Mom's former landlady out of It doesn't open and this spring will have a frame up the sides and over the top for a vine. The snow is still coming down, the forecast now is 6-10 inches by the time it ends late tonight. It will freeze overnight making the roads very dangerous tomorrow morning so I imagine most schools will be either closed for the day or start a couple of hours late.
We're just getting rain down here (thank goodness!I'm SOOO ready for winter to be over.) But... your yard does look very nice in that white blanket.
I have been getting really tired of seeing the dormant remains of plants out in the garden. I guess I am ready for spring.....but not just yet, the snow is the best winter crop I could ever hope for
Wow, look at that! What a nice surprise. I hope everyone drives safely. I guess most people aren't accustomed to snow there, right? The kids must be so excited.
I am glad you are getting your snow. I'm with you, I like snow because we don't get much. Thanks for sharing your snow photos, we barely got a dusting. I guess the snow looks whiter on the other side of the fence .
