Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:40 pm the sun is out! the birds are singing,and have alot of work to do today,going to remove the sod at the barn to plant our azealas,but the bushes will be put in after next weeks cold temps were expected to get.its april fools day, and i couldnt come up witha good prank ,but that rons ear was hanging off, he went and looked in the mirror, (made you look)was what i said,then april fools... got 2 new garden items to put in flower beds.have a great day..

another day traveling around
Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:46 am we took off early in the truck, wasnt a good day to be outside working in the yard,windy and wet.so we went and took back a umbrella we bought at walmart and a sprayer to lowes,cause ron forgot he had one and had bought another,lol.. then while at walmart we bought 18 more azeala bushes to plant near the barn,the color will be great there,next to the old barn boards. then went to colonial nursery in blue springs and found some geraniums for 3.99 better than 6.99 we paid the other day. oh also picked up another tree rose at lowes,it was already blooming,and the flowers as big as the kind david austin has. also got a fushia at walmart,like them but the weather is going to be down in the high 20's next week, so ill be carrying in alot of plants and covering up some outside,what a bummer!

Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Fri Mar 30, 2007 3:32 pm today its dreary looking out,dont see me spending much time outside today,the weather may not be good till sunday. i wanted to blog last night,but it said i had over 400 minutes to wait, that was depressing,when you want to write ,you want to then,not later. frankly i dont think theirs enough active blogs to keep a limit on them. maybe i just need a diffrent journal for all my thoughts. two people caught in the middle and one who has to move the other who is trapped and doesnt want to budge what do they do.... personal thought... a nice placein the shade to hang out ,a dream of a pond here.

Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Wed Mar 28, 2007 2:35 am ya,went all over looking ,walmart,kmart a few other places and nothing .the last place we went was bens in blue springs,and to my suprise..whew-hoo.they had them,no white ones though, but i got the red and pink,6.99 a piece,higher than what they sell for at wally world or k-mart usually,but hey its early right.well we bought them and a few other things.silene triumph rose(pink flower) a perennial,not of the rose bush.and vintage peach stock and a vintage rose stock,again not a rose.at sutherlands we bought two outdoor ferns,which i have already planted in clay pots and put on front porch,i love ferns!.ron got some brocoli and cauliflower to put in the garden.it rained every where but here in odessa,that was nice cause i had all my cushions and pillows on the wicker,though its suppose to rain here tonight!(blah)well at least it will be after were gone to bed,,,,

Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Mon Mar 26, 2007 2:16 pm a 3rd day now the sun has opt to come out,im so glad!rons at work today and i'll be outside doing my thing, mainly smelling the flowers, other words,ill just be puttering around and doing whatever,lol..i tell him to relax some and enjoy the flowers,the old addage"dont forget to stop and smell the daisies" he cant sit still to long! we may still get frost here till the 15 th of april so im cautious in putting out my houseplants to soon,even planting some of my vinning seeds, but im impatient too! 
here is my weeping cherry,its getting reay to open up and bloom. 
magnolia bush is also flowering now. 
the gazebo looks quite dull without my house plants hanging from it.

shabby chic gardening
Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:05 pm well today was another beautiful day, got alot done in the yard,raked all the mulch from the rose beds we'd put on them,ron mowed the lawn,i planted my mothers tyme,and a few flowers,plus we planted some tomatoes..notice the painted windows,1 had hung up in bathroom till recently,ron needed it back for his a-frame,lol..my azealeas still need to be planted,and the last pic is pv(piss and vinegar) in a tree near garden

the sun came out today,finally...and guess what?
Category: GARDEN ROOMS | Posted: Sun Mar 25, 2007 2:06 am and we went outside and i brought all my cushions out and stuff, then we went to town and went to kmart where i found a wisteria vine,blooming! and a hydrangea tree,i was so excited...jumping up and down,lol..well not that bad,inside maybe...hehehe. then we stoped for a shake to drink,after that stoped at a regular haunt and i found a old watering can for 7.50 to add to my collection,and a neat old pair of clippers,victorian times maybe,,then we went to "old time pottery" neat place ..picked up a couple of big clay pots,then on to home depot,where they had red azealas ,oh boy...so i got 2. and 2 big bags of potting soil..i was wanting to hurry home to start planting some of it, while we bbq pork ribs and a chicken breast for me,we enjoyed the rest of the day..hey and tomorrow is suppose to be just as nice,then rain for a few days after,,hope your day was good! hugs.. kat
