Thanks Toni. I spend plenty of my time removing another tree in the Celtis (Hackberry) genus, Celtis chinensis, Chinese Celtis. It is invasive here. It sounds like the genus has some prolific members up your way, too. Hi Shawchert. I do talk lots and lots about trees, but really I'm here to learn about things I don't know. We only learn enough to teach if we have love to learn. Thanks, KK. I plan to pass through Kuala Lumpur later this year. It's becoming a popular hub for Aussies heading to Asia. I just love the tropics and I'm jealous of how things grow there. What I really love is the rich green everywhere. I find the lush, verdant growth almost overwhelming to my senses: I'm like a dog with his nose out the window of a moving car the whole time I'm there.
This made me smile, and think of my boss, an arborist. He never pays attention to any plants below his eye level. That's why he has me! He is always telling me to be sure and look at the trees, and I remind him to see the gardens below the trees!
A warm welcome this time from Scotland. I just know you're going to love being part of the GardenStew family.
