Frank I see that you had placed the "We Use Cookie" Notice back at the bottom of the page. I personally prefer to have it at the top of the page so that I can easily turn it of without having to move the cursor all the way down. This is my personal choice and I have no idea what other members like. I hope I'm not being difficult so can we vote on it?

Hi KK, that message should only show until you first click the OK button. It's not disappearing for you? Let me know which browser you use, thanks.

I don't see it either... KK, could it be that your browser is always set to incognito? As that could explain it, (or are you using Tor Browser Bundle?) - However, if that was the case then you'd have to sign in manually every time you'd log on here...

It's on the home page if you are a visitor or a member who hasn't signed in. But signed in members do not see it...unless they reject all cookies from all sites or specifically GardenStew.

I understand that the cookie law started in the EU and all site owners wishing to broadcast in the EU will have to apply this notice. So in actual fact I am not supposed to see it too because I'm not in the EU and for those who are not seeing it is because you are not in the EU ,,, am I right Frank? So I also do not know why am I seeing it.

Yes the message only show until I click on the OK button. I requested that it be placed on top is because that at the start page the "log in" button is on the top right hand corner and if the message banner is on top then the "OK" button will also be on the top right hand corner making it easy for me to click. I'm just too lazy to move my cursor :) I'm using explorer and I tried using Chrome and Edge they are all the same.

Frank, if you want it at the bottom, I'll try not to be lazy and move it a little.:)

Toni I tried blocking the cookies but they still appear.

So when you click the "OK" button it disappears just for that page load KK i.e. it reappears when you navigate to a new page?

The cookie message itself sets a small cookie on your computer so that it knows not to show itself again. If you block this particular cookie then the message will continue to show itself.

Yes when I click on it it disappears and no it will not appear again when I navigate to a new page. It is just for my convenience.
No I did not block it.
I did not click 'OK' on the screen capture so it appear on both of the screen capture. Sorry I did not mentioned that.

Let me know if it reappears again KK. With computers there is always a logical explanation, that's why I love them so much :)

Hi KK, if for example you visit the home page, then click OK on the cookie message, then visit any other page, it reappears?

No it did not. It is behaving normally. There is nothing wrong with it. By right it should not appear at all because I'm not in the EU :)

I agree KK but since it is EU law here and it is difficult to target it to just show to EU visitors it is safer to show it to all.

That's what I was thinking Frank, I thought it might be a point of origin thing. It appears for me too if I come to GardenStew as a visitor and we aren't in the EU either.

Do US visitors encounter this cookie message on many other websites? I would hazard a guess that many other websites decide to show it to all visitors rather than risk it.
