Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 8°C and very foggy. Dog wants to go for a walk but I'd like to wait until the fog clears.
Hoping to get my garden cleared out today. Should be interesting as the puppy steals my tools and barks at the rake and wheel barrow!
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 8°C and raining. I spent part of yesterday cutting down perennials in the back garden, but it looks like that may have to wait for a dryer day.
I am back to my winter time routine of errands and shopping on Thursdays, so that is my plan today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Hubby's second eye has been poked at with a sharp stick and he is groggier than after the first time. He has a problem when it comes to being knocked out, they have to really load him up with the meds before they take affect. Last week they had the amount just right but this week it was a new guy and he really took the notes from last week to heart and put him out good. He has a stack of his type of movies to watch while coming back to reality but I have a feeling his snoring will drown out the goofy dialog.

Almost forgot......we had rain during the night, a little over an inch in the gauge this morning. Too soggy to work outside but I have a lot of knitting to get done before christmas anyway.

Toni, glad that Randy's second surgery is over, and now he can heal and enjoy improved sight. By the way, does he watch El Dorado with John Wayne, James Caan, et al.? My husband is addicted to that movie and watches it every time I'm out of the house. I can't stand it!
We have 2 1/2" of rain so far, and it's still coming down. The pond will overflow later this afternoon, and the hens are as mad as, well, wet hens!
I'm baking pumpkin/pecan bread this afternoon. I have little loaf pans and one recipe makes six little loaves--great for giving, or including in Christmas baskets.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. I was taken off guard by the strong sunshine ... it looked a lot warmer out than it was and I only wore a light jacket on my dog walk. I came back frozen! I have the woodstove going now, and the curtains down letting the sun shine inside. I am finally getting around to making turkey soup from the Thanksgiving turkey carcass I put in the freezer last month, and it is already smelling delicious in here. Hopefully I can get outside when it warms up a little. Have a great day all :)

Toni would be thrilled if my choices were that mundane. I considered The Fifth Element http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377917/?ref_=nv_sr_2, Wizards http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076929/?ref_=nv_sr_2, Heavy Metal http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082509/?ref_=nv_sr_1, THX-1138 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066434/?ref_=nv_sr_1, and Logan's Run http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074812/?ref_=nv_sr_1. I finally decided on Amazon Women on the Moon http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092546/?ref_=nv_sr_1. The knock out juice they slipped me this time meant I only watched the last one after an extended morning nap. Toni was very pleased.

The followup appointment today showed that everything is healing as expected. I have 20/20 vision in the left eye, and 20/25 in the right. The right will continue to improve over the next week or so. I'll need reading glasses, but nothing for driving, watching TV, or other distance viewing. Toni's adjusting to seeing me without glasses, and I realized I can see myself clearly in the store mirrors. I consider that a mixed blessing.

    Perhaps El Dorado isn't so bad, after all . . . .
Get used to seeing that handsome man in store mirrors, the guy without glasses!

Good Monday morning all. Currently 8°C and sunny. Looks like a fabulous day ahead with highs of 16°C expected!
I'm heading to the shower, but hope to get outside and finish up my fall cleanup. I noticed yesterday there are several clusters of Raspberries ready for picking in my garden - a most unexpected sight for November 6th in Ontario! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. We actually had rain over the weekend, not much by some standards, just over 1 inch but more than we have had in weeks. Supposed to have been more overnight but that didn't happen, it went west and north of us according to the weather radar. Wet days are needed this month so I can stay inside and work on knitted gifts without stressing about not being out in the garden.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 8°C and cloudy. Our high is expected to hit 16°C today, and so I hope to get some more garden cleanup done. Like Toni, I am looking for a few wet days to get some indoor work done. So much to do!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Well Mother Nature, who we all know can be a, ummmm, challenging entity at times, decided to test me yesterday to see if I really did want rain all day long. Well of course I did and gladly stood several times at the open front door watching the rain come down in buckets and sometimes just a steady drizzle. Even though what we got was not at the level of some in Dallas county my 2.18 inches was very much welcome, needed, longed for and lusted after. Could get a little more today but for now I am a very happy gardening person.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 4°C and sunny with a strong NW wind. This cool, windy weather is a good excuse to get some work done indoors today!
Still so much to do so I'm not sure where to start! Maybe I'll start up in the craft room or my bedroom. Or maybe I will just bake? :headscratch: Decisions, decisions!

Good Friday morning all. Currently just 4°C and very windy. At least the sun is shining!
I was woken up this morning by Sargent standing on my bladder in bed staring down at me. He was full of beans and wanted outside. I reluctantly got up and took him for a long walk, and now he is sleeping at my feet. Made myself a huge jar of fresh juice and I am going to sit on the computer and drink it all while I start looking for Christmas gift ideas. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Rain chances are nil for a few days while the chance of the return of almost summer like temperatures is on the increase. Not happy about that, I just got used to having fall like weather and then it turns on me again. I truly do believe that Mother Nature drinks.

Well Toni, if Ma Nature doesn't drink, she at least drives gardeners to do so!
Cleaning house today, and making cheese rolls. This afternoon, after (if) the grass dries, I'll mow. I can't believe the humidity!
