So WE are aware there is a final visit to the vet and that means once on the vets table its war,..anything that comes within biting distance will get bitten,..the vet so far lol,..i only laugh because it helps ease the pain of the vets bill.

    Before the Surgery visit.
    2017-09-09_14.02.42.jpg

After the Surgery visit,..still groggy,..the good news is the stitches are all out and the wounds have healed,..no more bandages,..which itched.
    2017-09-12_20.07.23.jpg

Then a walk in the fresh air,..river is rising.

Hi Carolyn,..thank you,..yes she looks better than i imagined,..hardly any sign of the fact her neck was ripped open,..just one spot to indicate there were stitches but that too will heal up,..i am very happy to see her in a happy mood though she went through a lot with so many visits to the vet and each time an injection and a yelp,..then the imitation of a Tasmanian Devil took place,..snarling and teeth gnashing lol,..i don't blame her,.. she is a quiet dog other than when at the vets,..just before the last visit to the vet she is seen below watching TV.

She does seem to like watching the telly! ;) After all she has been through I can understand her not wanting to see the vet. She doesn't understand that he is helping her, all she feels is the hurt. I do hope the vet visits will be over soon.

Every time she visited the vet there was pain,..injection then new stitches,..i have to be wary of how someone approaches her,..no sudden grabbing,..she is fine with me,..except when at the vet as then it was anything within reach was going to be bitten,..including me,..just the once,..no more vet for a long time to come for her sake,..not forgetting my pocket,..the bill for Molly No 1 was £550=$655.3 all to no avail,..the bill for Molly No 2 was £453=$539.73,..all within an nine week period,..pets can be expensive but then we are responsible for them,..i wouldn't have changed anything,..they deserve a chance.

Yes, tough on the wallet Philip. The good news is that Molly #2 is otherwise a very healthy dog, right? Hopefully no more tortuous vet visits for her & no more high bills for you! She is a fortunate pooch to find you. (& vice versa)

I am so happy for you and Molly. Having three current rescues (one on the back of my chair and draped around my neck, one at my feet and another under the covers sleeping with my hubby) I couldn't imagine life without them. Fur babies soooo enrich our lives. You are both very lucky:like:

What a wonderful walking companion she is. Having been a house dog I bet she is enjoying all the new experiences you are giving her....except the vet visits.

    Freedom.

Today was the first day i let Molly off the lead,..on the road that is alongside the canal and leading to the river,..its a safe spot as there are no cars allowed at this time of year,..so once free she can head anywhere she likes,..training her to stop and return,..she did that without asking,..ran like a rocket away from me then returned just as quick.

Hi Jewell,..thank you,..yes its a nice quiet scenic walk,..there was nobody to be seen walking in either direction,..at times the road is open to allow anglers to have fishing competitions,..even then its safe to let a dog off the lead.

Molly does have a happy grin,..what a change for her from her previous life,.. indoors only,..then into a rescue center and to get attacked,..for her to get out and about must be heaven:)

Amazing what one will see when an image is on the screen of a computer,..that wouldn't be seen with the naked eye,..just beyond the Heron there is something lying prone,..all i can make out with a zoom is a pair of legs?,..must check this out tomorrow.
    2017-09-19_12.19.07.jpg

I crossed the bridge to check on a plant,..thinking Molly would stay put and not even try follow me,..i was wrong,..she couldn't walk in the middle of the bridge so came along a main support,..then paused when there was a beam protruding reducing her walking space,..brave little dog.

Cayuga Morning,..people say she looks more like a Fox,..the more i look at her the more she does,..its deceiving judging the size of a dog or anything for that matter from a photograph,..i measured Molly's head and from tip of nose to back of head is 5 inches,..her head fits snugly in my hand lol.

Very pleased you like those water images,..i get so used to them i imagine everyone would be bored,..i know Frank likes them as he can see familiar things to where he comes from,..nice to know they are appreciated :)

I had to zoom to get the shots below as it was on the opposite side of the river,..spot the Heron.
