How are you canning your carrots?-- I have never put them up.

I peel and slice them, and then raw pack with a bit of salt, add boiling water and pressure can for 25 minutes at 11lbs pressure. The longest thing is peeling and cutting all the carrots!
Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 4°C with sun and strong SW winds.
I'm off to the arena this morning, to clean out a storage room and set up a costume area. This job is long overdue! My helper already cancelled and so I'm working alone.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Soooo, we had to buy a new washing machine for Randy's Mom last weekend, take it down there on Saturday and get it in and hooked up. Her old one was 28 years old so it was no surprise. What was a surprise is that Monday (yesterday) my washing machine died for a different reason and it was only 5 years old. So we head to the same store we got hers from, they were on sale at a good price, the same salesman was there and the same forklift driver who had to get the boxed up machine off the very high shelf and they both remembered us. For ours though we got our daughter, her friend and our youngest grandson over to help get it put in place and hooked up. Then we took everyone out to Flying Fish for a fried Catfish dinner.
Today I am baking two pumpkin pies and finishing laundry that didn't get done yesterday.

It was sunny here today but not warm. We were out and about a lot today. Then, I made cookies to give to friends for Thanksgiving. Peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies. You all have a great Thanksgiving. dooley

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. It's already Thursday, and that means it's errand and shopping day!
Should be a short trip, unless I get inspired to start my Christmas shopping.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 4°C and sunny. I managed to catch a few online deals today, but found out my credit card had been cancelled due to suspicious activity. Apparently my card has been compromised sometime in the last month, run through a 'skimmer' which is impossible because I don't physically used that card. Regardless, it has been cancelled and a new one will arrive in the next 7-10 days. I hate criminals! UGH!
Leaving shortly for my daughters first skating competition of the year. Should be fun!
Have a great day all :)

    Good morning all.
Netty, between Randy and I we have never had a debit card reach it's actual expiration date (we don't use credit cards hardly ever) . At some time the number gets stolen by someone working at some place where we have shopped and then used for a shopping spree. Fortunately we have an alert on all our cards through the bank so that anytime one of them is used to make a purchase over $1.00 we get an alert on the phone and can verify that it is one of our purchases or call the bank and have the card canceled and reissued.

Warming up here and heading back to the 80's by early next week. Oh, well, the 40-60 degree days were nice while they lasted.
After all the driving we did Wed and Thurs.....2 round trips of about 1.5 hours each way...but we got Randy's Mom up here for Thanksgiving....now we are not going any where for a couple of days. That is unless we decide we do not want to 'fast' for two days at which time we will leave the house to find someone else to do the cooking.

Good morning all. Another mild night, no frost this morning. The weather is predicted to be like January next week. I can´t wait. Yesterday, I continued to sieve the compost and I bagged some up for the spring and the rest I spread around the winter veggies.

Hey my garden stewbies!!! I'm back! I lost Ed, my hubby, on August 14th, this year...long hard road with cancer. Miss him terribly but figured it was time to check in on you all...expand my horizons so to speak! Now to go see what you've all been up to! Hugs all!

SO sorry for your loss bunkie. Gardening will be good therapy for you and we are always happy to see you here.
Good Monday morning all. Currently -4°C and cloudy. It's going to be a warm day, and so I am going to take advantage and finish off some outside jobs and stack some firewood.
A little bit of laundry to fold and a floor to mop and then outside I go!
Have a great day all :)

It was in upper 40's here today and will be in 50's tomorrow. The weather person said it would be warmer than normal all week. No rain until Friday. We try to get out and about on the sunny days since we plan on staying inside on the snowy days. dooley
