The rain has passed us by and now the sun shines! Going to get up to 92° today so it will be very muggy and humid. I hope to transplant some seedlings when I get home!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear.
It's still unseasonably warm - normally we have already had frost, but we are still well above that temperature. I'm still watering and trying to keep gardens looking good.
Off to work for another day of watering.
Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon, today is a loud music day....CCR, Carole King, Boston, went to a funeral yesterday and as I get older those events bring me down for a little while longer after each one.. We have lost 5 (family and friends) in the last 3 years.
So at present I am cleaning up the mess in my craft room with CCR blasting.

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF!
Today could finally be the day we get some rain! Unfortunately, we are also supposed to get severe winds today. It's also going to be extremely hot for a good part of the day, with thunderstorms. The temperatures drop after that to more seasonable temperatures, and I couldn't be happier. This heat has been CRAZY this year!
Off to work, to batton down the hatches.
Have a great day all :)

It was and still is very windy here today. It rained last night and was cloudy and misty all day. The sun peeked through for a few minutes but those big black clouds chased it away pretty quick. Fall is definitely going to be here tomorrow. I think it's time to sew some children's shopping bags with Halloween and Fall designs. I did buy some children's material the other day. dooley

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 8°C and cloudy.
What a night! We has strong winds, thunder, lightening and rain. The Ottawa area had a series of tornado activity and the damage is extensive. We were very lucky here.
I'm off to skating registration night, and then home to make some bread and butter pickles.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all.....yes Good is back in the greeting. The rain began in our yard in late afternoon....it is still sort of dripping from the clouds. I have a very large rain gauge, CoCoRaHS members have them and I am a member, I emptied it into a large bowl in the kitchen at 2 a.m. this morning and put it back in place then went to bed. Shortly after I emptied it into the bowl inside the rain let up but was a steady drip the rest of the night and still is. The total for my yard was 9.3 inches!!!!! no flooding because the ground was so parched it soaked up every bit and while it is a bit sloshy this morning there are very few puddles out there. Last night my garden got more rain than the total of January thru August!!! There was thunder and a bit of lightning too so the plants not only got a good amount of water they also got several good shots of nitrogen to revive them after the long hot and dry summer we have had.

Oh, and I got my hair cut short yesterday, it was almost down to my waist and I was tired of it so now it doesn't even touch my shirt collar.
