I used to love "Last of the Summer Wine" with the original characters but when they started throwing others in I stopped watching it...mind you "Father Ted" used to make me howl especially when he drunk the bleach for alcohol

 

Another keeper is "Keeping Up Appearances."

 

Yes another good one and watched all those episodes

 

Am planning many quiet days these next few weeks. All parties and celebrations have been attended. Our little family will be sharing cooking chores, reading, watching sports on TV, and marathon viewing of YouTube and Gaia. Keeping the wood stove going is one of my favorite quiet time activities (warmth of the fire and chill of the outdoor air getting wood) along with hand washing dishes. Admittedly weird for those who prefer the rush-rush of urban life. Hope all have a wonderful winter break and the seed catalogues are arriving.

Well, Christmas is almost here and things are busy. I tried a couple new recipes and the one Better than __ _ _ fruit salad...I am really disappointed in. Not sure if I will serve it tomorrow night or not.... I cooked a turkey this afternoon in case anyone wants more than just sweets or other goodies.... Merry Christmas everyone or Happy Holidays....

Gail, I'm venturing out early tomorrow for fruit for my own Fruit salad .
A family tradition as are the Oatmeal Fudge bars made this morning.

Jewel, I love the thought of the wood-burning stove and I too prefer hand washing dishes. The simple life is more serene.
Sherry, I'm curious about your Better than-------fruit salad!
My fruit salad has grapes, bananas, pineapple chunks, Mandarin orange sections, mini marshmallows, lemon pudding, Cool whip. The family expects it every Christmas or Thanksgiving.
I probably won't be on tomorrow, so,

I've not had fruit salad in donkey's years since I lived with my parents and i'm not a fudge person, hubby as done all our shopping for we but he'll still manage to see more money off tomorrow I bet
