It’s been quite a mild winter so far. Plenty of time yet for snow.

They'll hunker down again when the weather decides to get serious. You are in England aren't you Gail? I am guessing your winters are relatively mild?

Gail I have daffies coming up too. Even if the weather gets really severe they still manage to put on a good show come spring. We've only had one fall of snow that lay (but melted quickly) so maybe the daffodils will be flowering earlier than usual.

Gail, our paperwhites are up, and are about 12" tall. Of course, we are in Texas, and paperwhites (narcissus) are very hardy. We have a clump of dwarf daffodils and they are showing above ground, also. Since daffodils and paperwhites are bulb plants, I think that even if there is harsh weather, we'll still see blooms!

@Gail-Steman, These daffodils did okay. There was snow during that winter. The daffodils hardly grew until the proper time in the Spring. They bloomed nicely.

I noticed that last year some of my daffodils only had leaves and no flowers. Why is this and do I need to dig them up?
