@adam.ca well I never mate that's a first on me, using nappies in your soil and I hope your seeds germinate I think the wrong ones doing the vids mate cute little darling and just admit it you had that wine before you started
i have 2 seedlings breaking out from the half poting mix / half diaper, soil! the tray is now under the lights, i have not needed to water AT ALL! very exciting! I suspect that the 100% diaper soil is to wet and this will cause the seed to rot rather then germindate, but who knows!!! ill make a video update this weekend.
I use water crystals in my outdoor potted plants to help with moisture retention. They must be the same crystals that are in disposable diapers.
Our summers are very dry and at times I had to water my potted plants 2 times a day on hot days. I read about the diapers so I have been putting disposable diapers in the bottom of my pots for the last few years. I do poke holes in them so the excess water drains out.
the results are in and it's bad... I used WAY too much of the stuff the video: sub my blog to see other vids: https://www.gardenstew.com/blog/index25683.html putting the stuff at the bottom of the pot sounds like a much better approach
@adam.ca sorry to hear this happened I would take @Kazzawazza advice as she does have a glorious show of plants as I've seen some lovely pictures.
