I've just asked him...he said it's pond filter sponge but they use it on parts of the cars to stop leaves and mess getting access into the motors.

Well tomorrow i'm going to test the water after moving just 10% of it today adding my API liquids plus fish...so i'll no more tomorrow but the sponge as nearly removed the film. Does Aquafresh cause a film because everything in that tank was fully cleaned and even the gravel was sieved.
I meant Aquasafe sorry what you add in tap water...because I've never had a film in the bottled water in the smaller tank.

Cheers for that mate ...well we know it's not filth or anything like that or food...I have had my hands in trying to alter the ornaments but I don't use any lotions on my hands and I was told not to wear any gloves.
Kazza it's carbon in the filter bio balls plus we removed it with paper towels last night. I've took over some more fish today as I had to wait for fish bags to come...ran a test on my main tank before hand. Ammonia 0.0 Nitrite 0.50 Nitrate 5.0 The system is filtering better with fish in but lost one tonight one of the new guppies I brought yesterday ...good job they're not expensive
@kazza I forgot to mention this is my filtering system on top and where they're whole cages, i'm going to make them singular ones and on the right knock two out and but in bio balls as it comes with none but it does my small tank...plus last night after we chatting I ordered aqaurium long armed gloves in case I do need to put my hands in the tank
