    Chicken fried steak,,mashed potatoes and gravy with hot biscuits !

    I love potato soup with onions and a bit of cheddar cheese added !

    We were invited out to a mate's house to eat. We exchange turns of making meals for eachother from time to time.
    Here was the main ( he called it a "Spanish bread dish") but also said that it had a Hungarian name:

    Then for pudding, a flensje (crêps) covered with melted dark chocolate and filled with rich vanilla ice cream.

    Dear, oh dear, oh dear.... and if this wasn't enough, he then offered carrot cake with the tea afterwards. Oh, you could say we were well spoiled with the outlay.

    Roti with kausebanden (a bean-like veg) en lamb with a bit of gravy. Its a bit spicey.

    Sounds very nice with the names you use but no good for me with the spice :(

    We had fish and small mixed vegetables and I did enjoy it for a change.

    We will be going to Mickey-D's on the way to the Gardening Club's annual meeting.

    Gail--a roti is a flat bread. Sort of like thickish crêps. The rest is the filling. Is that clear as mud?

    We've had spaghetti using quorn mince and tortilla boats :smt044...hubby had salad with his :(
