    Last night's dinner was a ham and sausage cassoulet. This is definitely a chilly weather food, served with a green salad and a loaf of crusty home-made French bread. It's also a great way to use up some left-over ham!

    I don't know but I am going to get out the sunoven and use it. anyone else have a solar cooker? how often do you use it and what do you make in it? maybe I should make a new thread for this question. huh?

    I made and used a couple of solar ovens. I think slow cooking stews in a pot with a lid are what I found best. Bean stew, with the dried beans soaked the night before and all the ingredients put in the pot and started off in the morning. After 6 hours -+ it would be ready. My solar oven was a hole in the ground with silver sides and a glass roof.
