Hot, today. Sun chased me indoors. Have been moving brick pavers and redoing or creating two new patches of walkway. Time to only work in the shade or sit-it-out.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 7°C and foggy.
I'm up extra early today, as I'm starting my summer hours today. I'll be done work by 2:30 now. That leaves lots of time to get stuff done!

Good Wednesday evening all, it's been raining and drizzly all afternoon and evening.

 

Logan we've had constant rain here all day long but tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy at 69F

 

Good Thursday morning all.
Still cloudy and looks like it's going to rain, but the garden still needs it.
Going to try and grow some trees from seeds and cuttings to replace the trees that have been cut down in the small wood by us.
Got 8 Silver birch seedlings that were growing in one of my pots.
In the autumn going to collect some acorns and try to grow them. There used to be a lot of Oak trees around here.

Off for my early morning dog walk. There was a bear sighting yesterday on my road so I'll be extra careful to pay attention to my dog and his keen sniffer today.

Good Friday evening all, been warmish with a breeze today. Only watered the polyanthus and a few pots today.
Yesterday did some weeding so next week I'll do some planting.

 

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 9°C and overcast. We had a really good thunderstorm last night, and lots of rain. It may have put off my plans of getting the garden planted today as it's so wet again. I'll see what I can plant up, but I'm feeling very behind this year. There is lots to weed in the flower gardens as well.
It'll be a day in the gardens, until the rain starts again later.

Saturday morning--vet appointment for one of our three cats for shots, check-up, exam. Buddy did NOT want to go but after gentle persuasion he got in the carrier. All went well at the vet--Buddy is in robust health. I expect the same results on Monday and Tuesday for the other two cats. I may need mental therapy on Wednesday.
Got home, got most of the cat hair off our shirts, and then went out to thin the pears. Husband is mowing the back yard now, and I'm going to freeze green beans.
Saturdays are strange days--we catch up on all (well, mostly all) the things we didn't do all week.

 

Good Sunday morning afternoon all. Currently 14°C and sunny. Its also very windy today, from the north.
Woke up to no power this morning, forgetting it was a planned hydro outage today for maintenance. Power was out from 7am until 1:30pm.
I got a lot of cleaning done haha
Out to the garden I go!

Sunny and warm here today. Should be in the 70F's all week. But maybe rain on Wednesday and Thursday. We didn't renew the lease on our car so we are back to riding the buses. It will just take us longer to get some things done. We can't carry as much on the bus and we could in the car. We want to take a trip to Washington state to see our oldest son and his family sometime this summer. dooley

 

Good Monday morning all
Had some rain yesterday but not enough. Going to start planting out the pot marigolds around the edge of the path under the roses. They're a short variety that grows to about 8"

Last Saturday son came to visit he said that he's going to San Francisco this Thursday. He's going with 3 friends, meeting up at the airport and meeting a friend who lives there.
What is it like to visit, it's the first time he's going to the US and he's very nervous.

 

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 6°C brrrr I'm so glad I didn't plant out my tomatoes ... with the wind chill it feels more like 2°C!
I wonder when its going to warm up? More rain in the forecast tomorrow too, I don't know if the ground is ever going to dry out!
Off to work to but little sweaters on all the plants
