I would have put plant pots with some lovely trailing plants on it if it were mine and used it as a feature in the garden but each to their own. I would probably have had to cement it into the ground though if I were to put it in the front garden as I think it would 'walk' overnight. Is that a bird bath behind it by any chance. I'm really intrigued by the artwork you create.
It's gonna be a bird bath now. Thanks for the idea. I think the gentleman that used to live here also was a little crafty because it seems he turned that sprocket into a table for his benchseat couch you also see in the picture. I'll post pictures as I go. I actually have a full weekend off. Yay!
Sounds like you have your weekend planned out and the birds are going to love your bird bath. I have a few family members that would see your 'plant stand' as a beer holder and ashtray also!
Wow, what a great creation! And extra cool that you got some money for it! Can't wait to see what you make next!
Thank you. I was going to put it on my porch near where I'm going to build my outdoor kitchen. I'd thought about adding another rim to the bottom so I could plant some bones or something to snake up it and around the roundstock to the sprockets. I've got plenty of junk to repurpose. Thanks for the encouragement. You guys are great.
Ohh. I just had an idea. I found what looks to be an old homemade truck bumper. Dual 3 inch tubes. What if I cut it apart and welded it into a T joint and sunk it into the ground the had rims hanging off the horizontal part of the t by chains?
Oh I do like this very unusual...I have an old candle holder I dropped on for £10 and every spring hubby sprays it silver with hints of blue and it gives it an antique look for on the decking
Definitely unique... I used an old truck horn, and a pan from under a stove burner and glued it (e6000?) to make a bird feeder. I have it in my veggie garden. I thought I had a picture of my finished bird feeder, but cannot find it. Here is the old truck horn though.
Sorry you've not heard from me and i do apologise health issues. That looks alright you could spray it each year to keep it right
