The absolute highlight of my 2019 summer garden were these hydrangeas. I bought two of these at a local feed mill 2 years ago on an end of season clear out. They sat and did nothing much until this year when they burst forth into the most gorgeous pink hydrangeas I've seen (even if I do say so myself). That they were PINK was the surprise.

Anybody else have a plant that was just the hightlight? The out performer?

I have read that the soil makes the difference in color.

Not to be a party pooper, but I'm not a fan of fake flowers. I love living flowers. To each their own.

Growingpains i agree with you but for some reason in our home any live plants go caput :crying: yet at our other home i always had plants in doors and they flourished...so i have to make do with false :(

Gail, I understand and your's probably look great. It's just a personal thing.
I have no window sills, no really good area for indoor plants, so I get my fill in warm weather! I'm strange

Personally I also fall on the side of not liking fake plants however that being said I do have them in my bathrooms and in a few spots where I couldn't easily climb to water real plants. The fake plants of today are really good and sometimes on first look you can't even tell they're not real. I prefer having the look of greenery to not having it at all. ;)

I used to have Ivy climbing around the kitchen window, but this home has windows flush against the walls.
