I'd be happy to taste test that pie for you Marlingardener :rosy:
Good Friday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. We had lots of rain overnight and so the snow is all gone!
Today my dear daughter has a skating competition and so the lucky girl gets to miss school. It's going to be a busy day!
Have a great day all :)

Oh yes, skating season is full on here Sjoerd!
Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C and sunny. It's going to be a lovely day!
Not too sure of my plans today. I'm going to finish my cuppa tea and think about it.
Have a great day all :)

I'm afraid skating is out for me, but then, I never could skate. Good morning everyone, a great looking day here with just a little nip in the air.

Well, it is a really good day when we hear from Kildale! So very happy that he's home, enjoying the great looking day with just a bit of a nip in the air.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 0°c and cloudy, with an expected high of 10°C today! I'll definitely be spending some time outside today!
A quick trip into town and then home to 'putter' around outside.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast with strong winds.
Yesterdays puttering around outside turned into a wood delivery and me stacking firewood. I really don't mind that job when I have the time, and its good exercise.
I only got about one quarter of the pile stacked before skating, and today weatherman is calling for heavy rain and strong winds. I hope the tarp I used to cover the wood doesn't fly away! I did carry lots of wood inside, so today I'll be warm by the fire.
Have a great day all :)

Happy pre-Thanksgiving day to y'all! It's sunny and 50 degrees here. The cats are lounging on the patio, I'm making crescent rolls for tomorrow's dinner, and husband is installing new rubber "thingys" on the bottom of our outside doors that cut down on drafts.
I was mixing dough and thinking of all I have to be thankful for: my dear husband, three adorable cats, 15 pet hens, a freezer full of food mostly grown by us, peace and quiet here on the farm; and of course the Garden Stew. This is such an informative, entertaining, and kind spot, with so many members that are just plain NICE!
And to borrow from Netty, have a great day all you nice people :)!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. It's windy too, so it feels much colder.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends - hope you all have a wonderful day with your families.
It's not a holiday here however, and so I am off to do my regular errands and shopping.
Have a great day all :)

Yesterday we had 24 turkeys in the yard. Entertainment was provided by a flock of beaks trying to get a slice of bread. It is a tough choice as to which one to invite to Thanksgiving dinner.... but they ate their bread and ran:(.....maybe next year:) Thanksgiving will be at our niece's house, she already has a turkey or two.:):)

    Happy thanksgiving everybody!!
    Jerry

Did you see all the birds or was it just one Turkey leaving tracks on Thanksgiving day?

Gosh Jerry, I can't imagine having a flock of wild turkeys visit--how amazingly wonderful! Our hens are enjoying the holiday, and very thankful they are not turkeys!

Oh BC-R made some turkey for dinner that would change your mind. I said you should tell me the recipe in case you die and I can never make it again. She said oh no, this way I know you will look out after me. Smart woman. Glad I married her.

Today, the day after Thanksgiving, I'm still giving thanks! We have a stock pot with the turkey carcass and vegetables simmering, we had turkey on rye sandwiches for lunch, and although the weather is rainy and grey, the cats are still on the porch and windowsills, looking adorable.
We have so much to be thankful for that we may have to institute a second Thanksgiving day in July or thereabouts.
