    Looks delicious! Tuna and salmon?

My husband has been slow roasting a pork butt all day long to make into pulled pork. The house smells divine.

Cayuga, does you husband use a rub before slow roasting? I usually rub a pork butt, let it sit refrigerated for a day, and then pop it into my slow cooker. I agree, the smell is divine!
Tonight we are having homemade Focaccia bread with garlic infused dipping oil, spaghetti carbonara, and a tomato/cucumber salad. We adore Italian food!

In honor of the 4th of July, we are having fettucine Alfredo, foccacia bread, and a green salad. We are very independent of traditional 4th fare!

Say Cayu-- How did that pork's butt turn out?

Tonight it will be meatballs, new spuds and veggies.

We have been cooking up a storm! We are getting ready to make our annual trek to "the farm" (it's not a working farm any longer, just a vacation place).
My husband did make the slow cooked pork butt and it came out deliciously. We plan to make multiple meals of it: pulled pork, a bean & pork stew, tacos, etc. We've also made a chicken tagine and a ragout to serve over pasta. We also have the ingredients for a paella. All of this is now frozen and we will take it in a cooler. There's all kinds of fresh veggies at the local farm stands there.

Ok here is a curried pickled fish recipe. You can adapt it to your taste, e.g. use ginger and coriander seeds. We like to add chilli with it.

Tonight’s dinner was potato salad with beetroot and sausage.

So much opportunity. So many searing choices. Such flavorful possibilities. What will it be this evening? IMG_20200707_155535_resize_79.jpg IMG_20200707_153822_01_resize_50.jpg
