Netty, you also have a great day.
I have a neighbor who has a grandson between one and two years
of age. He loves to pick little tomatoes. Calls them apples. I told her to bring him to pick the last two on a plant. Now I can take it out.
I do still have kale, but I will leave it over winter.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast with rain in todays forecast.
I always think its weird how I use 'good' and 'Monday morning' together. There is really nothing good about a Monday morning! The return to work and the end to the weekend is always a sad thing lol I'm off to work to begin what I hope is the last week of garden cleanup. The weather is getting too cold and wet for gardening to be enjoyable.
Have a great day all :)

Dear Netty, in spite of this being Monday, I wish you a GOOD day.
Soon it will be Friday, the end of your work week, unless you're forced
to work Saturday for some reason.
It's cool (in the 40s) and damp here in SE Michigan. Walking was easier this morning without freezing fingers.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 0°C and clear.
I worked for a while in the cold rain yesterday, but came inside to warm up and dry off. When the rain stopped I continued. So much to do if I want to be done this week!
Today I am tackling the last BIG garden, and then the smaller ones will seem like so much less work. I hope the weather co-operates!
Have a great day all :)

Oh dear Netty, it seems you have very hard work in this cool weather.
Do you keep the grounds in winter as well?

No, the gardens rest under the snow until spring and we have someone that does snow removal on the driveway, parking lot and walkways.
Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast. I don't think there is any rain in the forecast today, but we had snow yesterday!
I got the last big garden cleaned up in the rain yesterday, so that leaves a bunch of small gardens to do and the Roses to mound up.
Have a great day all :)

What began as a nice day became a bit different. A phone call telling
me my second son was in emergency with chest pain. Then being told I could not go to him because someone was with him. No amount of
pleading would change her mind. To much anger to go into. Finally one of my grandsons came, took me to a different entrance and I was able to visit awhile. He will be in overnight, more tests, options tomorrow.

I am really sorry to hear this, GP.
I am hoping they can get him stabilized overnight and the testing can begin. Hopefully the medical team can quickly get a handle on his problem. Please keep us in the loop and know that we are available for comfort and support.

Growingpains, we are all hoping that your son recovers soon, and that whatever is ailing him is not threatening. As Sojerd said, we are available for comfort, support, and venting.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -9°C and sunny. Its COLD out there and then I sat in the rink for an hour ... I am cold right to the bone today!
Came home and had a nice hot bowl of oatmeal with blueberries and greek yogurt ...yum! Threw a log into the woodstove and now I'm warming up.
Only expecting a high of 4 degrees, so I think I'll keep my chores inside today.
Have a great day all :)

Sjoerd, MarlinGardner, I appreciate your words of encouragement. Great news. Some blockage, but not enough for a stent just now. 10 days of Baby aspirin and then see his Doctor. He just came home. I'm thinking he will change some things in his diet. He nay need to adopt an exercise plan. (Prayers helped I believe.)

What a relief, not just for you but for all of us here! Frightening for your son and all the family, but sometimes a bit of a warning can help us live longer and better.
