All over the web, there isn't a gardening site and forum which is nicer than our GardenStew - And this, I say with pride!

I like this place over others, as it is most friendly and always welcoming. It's been 10 years since I became a member here, and the fun times we have all had over the years - I wouldn't trade for anything.

It's just a wish on my part, that other subjects of my interest, also had a site and forum exactly like this!

So Frank, if the thought ever came. About creating another similar site, but about astronomy - Then always remember, that you'll have my unconditional and never ending support!!!

OK then, if Frank doesn't make a sister site like AstronomyStew, then I will do so independently, on my own, (without the Stew name of course)...

I echo mart; only I know even less. What I know you could put in a thimble. But I wish you well with your endeavor.

What's there not to like about this site? We all are always having fun, enjoy sharing what we have done in our gardens.

And in so doing, we all collectively build up knowledge, by sharing our individual experiences - When we make a mistake, we ourselves are the first ones to laugh at us. Which too we share!

Sometimes we experience our own individual hardships too. And in such times, the burden often becomes less, when at the very least we get moral support from other members here.

So this is the type of community, which I would like to see everywhere online - But unfortunately I don't... Because truth be told, elsewhere I mostly just see people looking for any opportunity to shame or humiliate someone else. Just so they can climb to a superior platform. Such is the trend anyhow.

Which I guess explains why communities like our GardenStew are so rare today - That's why I want to see another place like this one...

Unfortunately @S-H I'd have to clone myself first to find the time for such a project amongst all the other stuff on my plate. Sorry!
If you find a chance to start such a forum yourself we will have your back!

OK, for advice and guidance - I will come to you. Because really, I am dead serious about this.

In my opinion, astronomy and gardening are not very different hobbies. As both:

    Appreciate the beauty of nature.
People of all ages can do it, (no qualifications required).
Not at all difficult, once you know how.
But can be frustrating at times...
Governed by the same calendar and seasons.
Require similar levels of patience and dedication.
    Both are always very rewarding.
Doesn't need to be a costly hobby.
And one can start without any special equipment also, (at the basic level).
Plus like gardening, it can be profitable too - Like where you sell your produce, you can also sell your pictures and videos...

Difference is that you can't eat any of it, while in gardening you can. :chuckle:

Perhaps a trash can in the shape of a black hole?

An Astronomy site sounds good S-H. Sign me up:)
