Too many puddles. I have three new roses. Waiting on planting, pruning to do but can’t for rain after the snow.

In a dry spell, I rodded out the several drain holes in the patio's low curtilage walls. In the two corners there was about 3" of water. But it completely cleared in a couple of hours, despite a bit more rain

Not my garden but I picked all the bitter oranges off a tree and tossed them in the trash. Too bad there is nothing to be done with them... Bitter. They smell fabulous. Inedible though.

@carolyn I was under the impression that one could make bitter orange marmalade. I came to this conclusion because someone gave me a jar of this.

Nothing needed any urgent attention. Patio stayed dry, but it's looking a bit scruffy.

No point worrying about it until March, but it may be beyond the scope of "Wet n' Forget" and might need a go with the Karcher. I find the first ten minutes cutting through the muck quite therapeuitic, but the next hour or so becomes a chore.

I did some pruning and found that one of my tomato plants had spots on the leaves. Here's a picture. Any idea what it is? PhotoGrid_Plus_1611347899776.jpg

Moved three large hellebores from the back to the front yard. Since I have been so random in relocating plants I managed to dig up a clump of hosta and clump of BC ginger. The cardboard is layered awaiting mulch for the paths. Creating new beds has been a piecemeal operation. Was nice have two blue sky days in a row. Rain to start this evening.

Could be but I am not in a position to even try. Too much going on to try. Maybe another time. Not this trip.

Well, not exactly in the garden, but I trimmed the herbs that are over-wintering on a barn shelf and brought them in to dry. The thyme is thriving, the sage looks good (and smells wonderful) the marjoram is growing like mad, and the parsley is still doing well.
We have so much parsley that I've taken to chopping it up fine and freezing it in one tablespoon dollops. I find my dried parsley tastes like grass--rye grass or crab grass, not the other kind of grass!

If I would see leaves looking like that over here on garden plants, like brassica’s for instance, I would know immediately that it was aphids or whiteflies ( Trialeurodes vaporariorum ). You may have a totally different set of diseases and pests there.

Perhaps not a good answer for you, but it could be a starting point for further investigation. Please let us know if you get a clear answer on this conundrum.

The tomato leaves look like grey mold to me. I could be totally wrong as I don't know the weather or age of the plants. Weather, humidity... Rain... I live my high tunnels but I still get grey mold from the humidity.

Today it was freezing here, but we went out to the lottie and removed clematises from two arches. We also chatted to passers by and took a long walk over the complex stopping here and there. We talked to one lady about pruning her apple tree.
It was a good day, just so darn cold.

Sounds like a nice day Sj.

It is freezing here. A storm was due to start late morning today, so I met a prospective gardener at the Community Garden so she could pick out her plot before the storm began, obliterating everything. I think this woman will work out. She's the third new gardener I have signed on this year.
