Can't let orchids stand in the way of real plants :D

There is just no way of keeping him under control.... he's just having a laugh, he's digging out the ginger to plant it in the tunnel. He will be turning that border into a desert to put those 'orrible spiky things in! They are not allowed in the house - that's where my orchids are (and air plants since that Droopy got me started ) :whistling:

I thought that they didn't look like orchids.

Great! I even bought a ''posh'' sprayer for them, a small one of those pump up jobs. The wallpaper is getting a nice shower too. I have three dangly ones ( Tillandsia usneoides) and Zigs bought me one called butzii ..... to remember its name I tend to slap my backside and touch my spectacles - see what your idea has done now Droopers

I treat my orchids same as my cactus. Seems only logical for the orchids and cactus to coexist :chuckle:

Be ok if they were forest cacti (Tetters has got one in her garden room) but desert cacti don't live in the same place as orchids :)

Finished painting in the cactus house today, will take a big pic tomorrow :)

I have two of the T. usneoides. I curl them carefully into a big water bowl for a few hours every three to four weeks and hang them in the shower cabinet to drip off before hanging them back up in the livingroom windows. I have a spray bottle but only use that for ironing, lol. Yes, I'm terribly ashamed that I gave you the idea to grow air plants. *slaps wrist* *laughs evilly in Norwegian*

Been digging the new bed, taking out some of the soil and adding some grit and composted bark.

Good job! I now feel the need to build a good old-fashioned conservatory.
