A little cactus that is almost perpetually in bloom, a mouse tail variety that bloomed heavily for the first time, but is about finished and a few old orchids that are reblooming. The last is a substantial hanging plant in the African violet family that continues to have a few blooms I really like.
Ooo, cactus looks a lot like Mammillaria gracilis but with whiter spines. But that only flowers earlier in the year. Is it one of the Coryphanthas @Jewell ?
Have no idea Zigs. It was from a big box hardware store. It seems to take a break from blooming Jan-March but bloomed all summer and is still going strong. Very prolific and has never gotten very big. Might be because I repot small arms regularly and give away the parent plant. It doesn’t develop sharp spikes until the plant is older. I usually keep only the little arm starts so was surprised by a nasty jab while relocating it this month. Whatever it is I find this little cactus rather enduring.
Just been looking under Escobaria but there's loads of them I'll keep looking This is my Mammillaria gracilis...
Our Bibi Mazoon is looking good on the last day of November. She is an Austin rose, light fragrance and blooms when she wants.
Its a lovely thing, isn’t it. I could look at that thing all day long. There is a plant called “kaffirlelie” in that tint which is a lovely thing to see. It blooms long— they are blooming now. I am determined to acquire some for next year.
Love those plants, @Jewell , I really do! I'm not a cactus expert but I think I managed to kill one similar to Jewell's a few years back. I think the label said Gymnocalycium? Your rose is beautiful @marlingardener ! I only have frost roses now.
Still looking Droopy, don't think it's a Gymno. Got close with Mammillaria glassii but not quite there yet http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/CACTI/Family/Cactaceae/5396/Mammillaria_glassii_subs._ascensionis
