It's sunny and warming up a bit today. I am glad since it is Martin Luther King Jr. day here in the states, and there are parades and memorials planned locally.
Husband is off getting workshop supplies, and I'm cleaning house. I think next time we'll swap jobs. I like saws more than mops!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 18°C and sunny.
It took a good part of yesterday to shovel our way out of the snow that was dumped on us. Today, I will have to find and shovel out our skating rink.
More snow in the forecast, so it may be short lived. It will definitely be a good workout!
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. More snow in todays forecast.
It took me a good long time to clear off the skating rink yesterday. First with the snow blower, and then with my skates on I shovelled.
I sure slept good last night!
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -24°C and sunny.
Sorted my seeds yesterday and tried to sort out what to plant when, and make sure I wasn't missing anything. I may have gone a little bit crazy with the tomato seeds ... I have 26 varieties! That's Ok, I happen to love tomatoes and can never have too many haha
Its Thursday so I'm off to do my errands and shopping today. I have to admit that I'm a little worried about the stock in the stores today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently -27°C and sunny.
Sargent is rather feisty this morning, trying to chase anything that moved outside on our walk this morning! Perhaps he was just trying to keep warm haha
My grocery shopping trip was as expected yesterday morning, the shelves were bare at the store I first went to. Not a single banana, egg or romaine lettuce to be found. I took the last cucumber and pineapple. Meat counter was bare, bread was low and basically the entire store was low in food. It kind of made me panic, buying things I wouldn't usually buy that were shelf stable ... rice, almond milk, extra dry beans and pasta. I went home and put away my groceries and then immediately went another direction for the missing items. Thankfully I found everything I needed at the second store, but it sure made me think! We did get some 'good' news in the afternoon, that in 10 days some of our restrictions will be lifted. Finally!!
haha I'm a little over eager! But thankfully I have the veggie garden at work to fill as well!
Have a great day all :)

It is cold again today, 28 degrees, but thankfully the wind has died down. I'm doing a bit of light cleaning, which means hitting the tops of things and not looking down very much!
Netty, I know what you mean about empty shelves and lack of essentials. When I shopped Wednesday, there was practically no pasta, just thin spaghetti and elbow macaroni, and not much of that. The meat was sparse, but there was plenty of chicken and hamburger. Our favorite crackers were missing, but there were about six feet of saltine boxes on the shelf. Like you, I have stocked up on food items I know we'll use and that can be stored in the pantry.
Frankly, I'd feel more secure if we did have restrictions (wear a mask, social distancing, no large gatherings). At least your provincial government is trying to keep you safe, unlike our state government who seems to be trying to kill us off as quickly as possible.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -18°C and cloudy. Hopefully it warms up a little today. Yesterday it stayed cold and it was too cold to spend time outside.
This mornings dog walk was already warmer than it was all day yesterday, so that is promising.
Sorted through several boxes of paper yesterday, a good part of it went into the blue bin for recycling. It felt good finally getting rid of some!
Have a great day all :)

This has been a good day! It started off cold, but sunny. I decided to finish my "light cleaning" and then do some pantry inventory to see what we needed or were low on. Not much! We have been lucky in being able to get staples and store them. Husband says we are not hoarders, just stocker-uppers.
Hope you all had a good day also, and are well stocked up.

Stocker-uppers. Great term. We do the same. We just got our monthly delivery yesterday. The pantry is full again and the fridge is dark inside.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -12°C and sunny.
I slept in this morning! Had a lovely walk and then sat down for a cup of coffee and got an email from my cousin. I haven't seen or heard from her since 1987 and we have recently reconnected after the death of my parents. Turns out we have a lot in common!
Today I hope to get outside and enjoy the day. Maybe have a skate too!
Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning! It is dismal outside--misting and overcast, but thankfully not cold. I'm at loose ends--house is clean (for once!) and the freezer has plentiful bread of various descriptions, so I think I'll just do some recreational reading and arrange our seed packets in the order of planting. Husband went to three stores to get the vegetable seeds we need for the garden. This supply chain thing is getting serious if it interferes with seed supplies. We can substitute various things for toilet paper, but vegetable seeds? I think not!

Good Tuesday evening all. Currently -16°C and clear.
I've had a busy 2 days ... We have been babysitting the grandkids! My daughter is in her last few weeks of pregnancy and her husband got called back to work. Because of Covid restrictions she can not take the boys with her to her appointments. But we are more than happy to hang out with them! They are busy boys, ages 2 and almost 4 and we sure sleep well after spending the day with them! haha For example, it is now almost 7pm and I am grabbing my laptop and heading to my bed!
Have a good night all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -25°C and overcast. It was another very chilly dog walk this morning!
I was dreaming about greenhouses and seedlings last night, now I'm eager to get my greenhouse set up! haha
Too cold to play outside today, so more spring cleaning it is!
Have a great day all :)
