I just checked my yard for signs of spring. Nada in the flower/bulb department, but the buds on the Rhodie's & magnolias are fat. The birds are fat too!! I'm filling the feeders daily. I kid you not.
Lovely crocus, @Logan. Are they the C. tommasinianus species or a hybrid? Thought I recognized it. Lovely plant, but they don't call it the stink-Helleborus for nothing. Do they self-seed all over your garden? They do that here, and now I have three big ones and numerous small ones I'm trying to find new homes for.
I can't stand hellebore foetidus Droopy. I put as many on the compost heap as possible (or bonfire) they are a pain !!
I quite like them. They make a nice backdrop for more colourful blooms, and they're early bloomers which is good for the insects. I also like their foliage. They're decorative all year.
