Thank you Sjoerd and Pacnorwest, they do well in the front garden, i made some gooseberry jam last year because I still had a lot in the freezer from the year before. But I've been making a lot of summer pudding for Sunday pudding.
Logan..thank you. The season has been cooler than usual and rainy. Haven’t had to water anything yet. But that’s all about to change either next warm from coming on. Today the rhody’s in the garden dropped dozens of flowers. No dead heading today.
Thanks Sjeord they come up all over the garden but in the wrong place right close to other plants so i pull them up. This one grew in a pot with not much in it so i left it, but they grow tall.
Lovely garden @Pacnorwest! Your colours are wonderful! @Logan, is that a Papaver somniferum? A friend gave me some seeds but I looked it up and realized I might get some people in uniform pay me a visit if they see it and know what it is so I didn't risk that. I might risk it now, though, since nobody can see my back garden. The Cypripedium are blooming. Sorry you can't see them inside the tent:

Your babies look so comfy under that fleece. Is it brand new? You ought to see our fleece. The word, “tatty”, doesn’t cover it.
Still wonderful colours, though, ,@Pacnorwest. This particular piece of fleece is brand-new because the tattered, old pieces aren't big enough to cover the frame and I don't like sowing much so I opted for the easy solution. We also use fleece until we can't anymore because there are more holes than fleece. This little garden helper looks good no matter the weather. It is sulking because we had to remove a couple of big ticks. It was actually so insulted it left without eating its food, but came back later in the evening when it was done sulking:
Great hedgehog story. I know you often give your little visitors the once-over. They may sulk, but your work helps them greatly. Chapeau.
