Its a stihl ms250 clone. My now ex-neighbor gifted me a bar for my ms250 years ago and I never needed it so I am putting it on the clone. It is fun but there are no instructions.
@Dirtmechanic - that will definitely be a challenge without instructions. Looks like you have it broke to ride though
Yesterday turned into a tractor day. We have to deflect the run off from the mountain going under the house, and under the woodshed. We built a gravel burm to channel snow melt. It's about a foot high. It will take the spring melt to let us know if it worked, but it is a starting point. Next will be to use the goon spoon and matock adze a channel behind the woodshed.
Performing an expulsion of a house goblin that is wreaking havoc on our home. If anyone has any ideas just how to perform this, let me know.
I have found a bottle of gin to be very attractive to house goblins. When the little critter falls over dead drunk, pick him up and take him to an enemy's house. Lacking an enemy, any place far away will do!
@Cayuga Morning @marlingardener ... This may give you a laugh if you haven't seen it. It was on our television commercials for a long time. The house hippo......wreaking havoc at night. Maybe he would like gin??
It has been a very busy few days with the end goal of being ready for winter by the end of September. We drove to get eggs from a neighbour, and took the chainsaws. Two more trees were cut and brought home for firewood. The last two loads of firewood went into the third bay and the woodsplitter is covered and tucked away. The cedar was shaked, and today I will start on the kindling. All bark and sawdust scraps were raked up before the cedar was split and put into the next years compost pile. Log piles and lumber piles were covered, as well as the little camper. With the smokey skies that many of us are enduring, I have to limit outside time. This has lended itself to making a large roaster of beef bone stock with all of the little onions, last of the celery and some unhappy carrots. It's been doing it's magic outside on the porch. It will be ready today. Yesterday was apple jelly and red pepper jelly. Today is potato leek soup for Hubby, Zucchini soup for myself ( with the last of the zucchini and leeks) and homemade buns for Hubby to have with his soup. A neighbour SOSd me asking for five stalks of rhubarb which I found for her. She just called and is delivering some rhubarb cake as a thank you which is very sweet.
Today going to take barley for his booster at the vets, berry will stay at home, it's better that way.
Success! I made creme fraiche and used it in a stroganoff made with homemade beef broth. I had DW going back for seconds! Of course over 25 years she has learned to take small portions of my creations first, just in case. Smart woman!
Hey DM! This sounds amazing! Funny - we have heard of Creme Fraiche, but didn't know what it was. I don't add cream to my soups as I share the frozen ones with family ....but I'm all over this recipe, especially for stroganoff. Can I ask if you used buttermilk or sour cream? I saw two choices when I looked it up.
