Thanks, definitely no angel here. But I do like helping out. Often, people will be standing in the doorway before I get the meals out of the car. It's a nice feeling.

Doing garden work definitely helps when things are difficult.

Today there is apple pie to make ahead, and rolls to bake, after the meal deliveries.

This is an angel, at least my angel LOL.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -6°C and sunny.
Back into my winter routine ... errands and shopping on Thursdays! Fridge is empty so it should be an expensive trip out.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast with strong winds. A lot of the snow has melted, and the rain this afternoon should take care of the rest of it. The snow storm we had on the weekend was Mother Natures way of reminding us to be ready for anything!
Today DD has her first skating competition of the season. Fingers crossed she does well :fingerscrossed:
Have a great day all :)

Sundays is BACON- DAY! Boiled Bacon Breakfast and Bacon wrapped Pork Loin Dinner! I truly love the "Use By xxxx" dates on packages of bacon! PXL_20221127_133829361.jpg PXL_20221127_132121572.jpg 16695564441103275755466039551421.jpg 16695566282676377690998389582726.jpg

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast with rain expected.
I have a ton of laundry to do today, but other than that I think its going to be a lazy day. I might see if I can find any deal online and get some Christmas shopping done.
Have a great day all :)

DM — I wish that you would never again show fried bacon. :D
I have an abnormal yen for bacon. The yen is enormous and thus your pictorial expo constitutes cruel and unusual torture to this baconatical baconolic. It is a terribly sad illness. The Bride knows this and wisely doles out minimal portions from time to time. When I showed her your foto’s and said that perhaps I ought to don a covid mask to stem the drool….she suggested a diaper, on the way out of the room.

It is good to let it all out amongst friends sometimes! In the background there is a slow reduction of blueberry that will be finding its way into a pie tonight! I will hoist a slice in your direction!

I made Horseradish sauce. I keep planting starts from the original clump, in strategic places where I hope moles and voles get to enjoy it. However, the original clump keeps coming back stronger than ever, too.

This is called, "Getting back to your roots"

    Sliced, peeled, cubed.

Blended in vinegar with a little sugar and salt.

Oh my goodness, that brought tears to my eyes! What is it about humans, that we like painful foods (horseradish, wasabi, hot pepper, vinegar)?

I like horseradish best with cranberries, sugar, onion, and sour cream. I'll have to make some of that later.
