Actually Sjoerd, humans have eaten this recipe and given it their stamp of approval. The one complaint is it is a bit bland, b needing some spices and salt. I have not eaten it, being vegetarian myself, but without the chicken it could almost be fried rice. @Logan, I would think as long as the bones were well cooked and finely ground, they should be OK. Probably lots of calcium and phosphorus and iron. Such a young person! Congrats! @Tetters, thank you! I do like grapes, especially home grown. And I feel much better today. Still a bit wobbly, but much more functional.
Yeah Daniel— it does resemble fried rice a bit. I wasn’t kidding when I said that it looks good enough to eat. Oké bland…but that can be remedied with eastern sauces or something like that.
Tet— absolutely. Fish ‘n chips, please. I am a big fan. a Actually the very best fish ‘n chips I have ever had was in Oz made with barramundi. Oh lord have mercy!
Nope, I didn't mean fish n chips, I mean more like the lovely scraps like skin etc that are best for doggies like Fido or Scamp or Rover. They are a bit hard when done, but good for your teeth and make your coat shine. As for Australia, I wish we had fish shops like that here. For anyone who's never been there - the massive choice has to be seen to be believed.
On the subject of fish, I collected two big wings of skate I'd ordered yesterday from a local fishmonger. He lives on the North-West Lancashire coast and collects his fish from the market before he drives in. Worth the £19 they cost. Before I left this morning, to collect them, my wife asked me what were the fish I and our youngest son caught when we were on holiday in Devon and she cooked for our tea. I replied "Mackerel." "Ah! See if he's got any of those." This holiday was fifty years ago! But he'd had none all week. I think she'd seen them being cooked yesterday on a TV cooking programme. Every couple of weeks, I buy a twin pack of Harry Ramsden's battered haddock from Iceland. They are of a decent size. In the last couple of months they've gone up from £5 to £6.50.
Thanks Daniel, no they weren't cooked it was a raw diet but the bones were ground up. It had meat, veg, fruit and cereal in it as well. We were confident with the breader.
Today the last of the cedar boughs were made and hung up. It helps to have a little colour outside. I have one wreath left to make for my neighbour that I share my garden with. Her hands do not cooperate very will, so crafts are difficult now.
Cor Mel aren't you artistic! That all looks so natural and pretty. The snow just makes the whole picture. ..
It's cookie tin assembly time. I send Xmas cookies to friends & relatives in lieu of presents that they don't need. I posted about this last year, but I can't find the post. Here's my "rope".
