Here in the land of cotton I find the idea fascinating! Never would have considered it otherwise! Not that we need it, but then there are some relatives that could use a jolt!

We can’t get any firecrackers here any more. Due to the fire season in Oregon many types are banned. Firework shows are shown by the rivers on the fourth. And I noticed last year that 100’s of drones forming designs in the sky and light displays by drones programmed are starting to replace the huge fireworks displays due to fire zones in many western states.

Good Friday morning all. It's Little Christmas Eve, traditionally a day for making the last preparations for Christmas Eve which is the big day here in Norway. Last-minute shopping in case we forgot something, maybe a quick round to distribute the last presents, a final round of dusting and mopping, and finally just sit and watch "Dinner for One" at 21.00. Some people stick to the old tradition of decorating the tree and putting up Christmas stash after the children have gone to bed. We usually do that the 22d, because today is a busier day than yesterday every year, no matter how àjour we think we are.

I loved reading about what y'all have been up to! What a variety of activities we get on this forum.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -1°C and snowing. The snow didn't start until about an hour ago, already behind the weathermans predictions. But so far the temperature is holding steady and the winds haven't started yet. The snow is coming down hard and starting to accumulate. At this point the snow is too wet and heavy to be blown much, but we will see how this storm unfolds throughout the day. We are doing some baking today, and all the final wrapping of gifts. Sargent already sniffed out his gift, so I'll have to find a higher hiding place haha

Melody, that is such an amazing thing to say! This is why I love this forum, you are all so selfless and kind
    Have an amazing day everyone!

Will you bring those two children of yours with you then?
I need to know how many places to set, order the entertainment and perhaps some mince pies.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -12°C with a wind chill of -25°C.
Well, the wind huffed and puffed and the snow fell and the temperatures were frigid all night. Thankfully we didn't lose power or any trees. The snow has now stopped but the wind continues to blow. Sargent had me up bright and early for his walk, for which I dressed like Nanook of the North. We got about half way on our regular route and he was ready to come home! He is now laying by the fire and I'm having a hot cup of coffee. Weatherman says the winds will taper off this afternoon, so it looks like tonights Christmas dinner *might* work out.
We have several huge snowdrifts in our driveway to deal with first. I have some food to prepare and a cake to put icing on, so it should be a busy morning.
Have a great day everyone and Merry Christmas to all! :smt114

    The more, the merrier.
There will be a magician, four types of music and games.
You won’t see much of me because I shall be running myself ragged catering to the guests’ every need.
To avoid any law suits I will not be singing, rather the musici will be professional's which can produce a melody that one can listen to without covering their ears with their palms.

Happy Christmas Day! I hope those of you in storm's way are fine and that your guests arrived safely @Netty. Nothing much going on here today. I'm fetching M-I-L later. She always spends Christmas Day with us. The roads are becoming icy because the temp is rising. Rain forecast later today. I have a good 4WD and metal studded tyres so we should be OK. Have fun, all, and take care.

Merry Christmas all! Currently -9°C and very windy. Its still overcast with a passing snow squalls, and the wind has been blowing hard for days.
Our Christmas dinner last night didn't happen, and we have re-scheduled for Tuesday. Better safe than sorry!
I've been out for my dog walk and I'm waiting for my (adult) kids to wake up. Could be a while haha
Have a blessed day all :)
