Your potted daffs are about the same stage as some of mine, aren’t they. I had a look at my lonely Helleborus, it’s leaves are green, but no new buds like the one you showed above.
Yes, it flowers every year, and is getting larger. I was gifted it when it was a two leaf plantlet by a lady that was cleaning up her plot and was getting ready to throw it away. She brought it down and asked in the off-chance that I might want it. I was a bit indifferent to be honest, but took it rather than think biut it languishing in her rubbish bin. What an old softie I am sometimes. I wonder if she was playing on this property of mine.
The mice/squirrels have eaten all my tulips as well as the gophers . What bulbs have really lasted thru the years and spread ,minus the areas pro large tree trimmers have stomped many bulbs out of existence, are the many varieties of daffodils. They are the first to emerge from winters cold sleep then, hellebores that dance in the breeze thru the cold winters shouting windy screams.
